Torres del Paine National Park and Ushuaia
 The
national Park of Tierra del Fuego, is located to the West
a few kilometers from Ushuaia, capital of the province
of Tierra del Fuego. Its fauna, flora and fisiography is of
the Andean-patagonian type, containing mountains, lakes
and forests. In Tierra del Fuegob only six species of
trees grow: lenga, coihue magallánico, ñire, notro, cinnamon
and hard firewood. The most notable birds of the park
are: ostrero, white cauquén, large duck, small albatross,
condor macá, seagull and cotorras. They live together with
the red fox, the guanaco, the beaver and the wild rabbit.
This national park, that extends in the environment of the
Andes fueguinos, is the only one that has marine coasts,
in its southern limit, on the Beagle channel.
Ushuaia is located at the southern coast of Tierra del Fuego
island, is the most southern city of Argentina and,
next to the Chilean town of Port Williams, the most southern
in the world. This southern region is formed by a group of
islands distributed between Chile and Argentina. It whipped
by the winds and inhospitable climate.
The Beagle channel , is a geographical accident of the
southern extreme of America, one of the most singular
of the continent, that constitutes the international border
between Argentina and Chile at its southern point. By its
phisi-geographical characteristics has been characterized
as a concordant, longitudinal, and coastal channel. It extends
along 180 km, with general direction east-west, communicating
the water of the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. There is
a vast presence of lateral moraines and rocky islands wiped
by the ice.
Paine

from El Calafate
 This
program allow the passengers to explore and discover the
Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. To do it we take
advantage of our strategically located Full Camps in the Park's
central points. We visit the Ottway Penguin Colony and
cross the Strait of Magellan. We travel the fantastic
natural environment of the Tierra del Fuego Island, and the
picturesque Ushuaia, that names itself the world's southernmost
city. We lodge in a typical Patagonian Mountain Refuge
in the Tierra Mayor Valley, and we spend our last night
in the Ushuaia City to discover her secrets and beauties.
We walk the Tierra del Fuego National park and navigate
the Beagle Channel where the waters from Atlantic and
Pacific Ocean melt them
