If you are coming to the hostel using public transport - commuting service, from main Bus and train service you may take bus line 20 or 21 to city downtown area. (The bus stop - Parada - is in front of the National Park administration house - Intendecia de Parques Nacionales). From there you may go on foot walking 4/½ blocks (Each block is around 100 metres or 165 yards).

Another option is to change buses at the Moreno street bus stop (between Palacios and Rolando street), taking bus line 50 which has its bus stop just a block 1 /½ away from the hostel.

From the San Carlos de Bariloche international airport there is a public transport service offered by bus line 72 (3 de mayo company) which goes from the airport to the Moreno street bus stop (between Palacios and Rolando Streets). This bus line timetable is as follows starting and arriving to and from airport, every day:

How to get to Bariloche?

In Argentina and Chile there is a well developed route long distance public transport system with modern bus units. the train system is badly developed so it has scares and slow service. There are different bus lines (or colectivos as are called in Argentina), there is also different kind of services available on each bus line. There are regular seat coach service, with non reclining seats, then you have semi-reclining seat service coach (semicama), the next category is cochecama which has more reclining big seats, almost as a bed (includes food service). The executive coach service also called supercama, has comfortable huge seats which stretch completely as a bed (includes executive food service). Depending on the route there will be more or less service categories and ticket rate options.

The Patagonian cities in Argentina such as: San Carlos de Bariloche, El Calafate, Río Gallegos and Ushuaia have modern airports with several flights to and from Buenos Aires with less options on connecting flights between Patagonian cities (these routes are usually offered by LADE). The inland airline company offering most of the flight routes are. (Aerolíneas Argentinas, Austral and LAN Argentina which have websites where you can buy your tickets) At international flights when you leave Argentina you have to pay a tax at the airport of US$18.- which is not included in the airport taxes paid with the tickets (You may pay this tax in cash or with a credit card)

From Chile you may fly with Lanchile which has on high season regular flights to San Carlos de Bariloche from Puerto Montt and Santiago de Chile.

There are also regular flights from Brasil (Sao Paulo) offered by TAM.
