This day we will visit one of the World’s Natural Wonder: the Moreno glacier. This is one of a few glaciers in the world with ice field- type which flows down from the Patagonian Icefield. The wide ice sheet which with its 22.000 square kilometres is the third largest glacier area in the world, after Antarctica (14 M sq km) and Greenland (1 M sq km). Due to unusual favourable local wheather conditions, this glacier is the only one in the world which shows a closure and rupture process. The road leads to the very front of the Moreno glacier, which will be only meters away from your eyes. A beautiful, short hiking trail, will lead us from the shores of the Argentino lake to the upper viewpoints. The roar of the of ice blocks breaking inside the glacier or falling from the glacier into the lake, the frequent collapse of the front seracs into the turquoise water, makes out of this day a very special and unique experience. We will drive 80 km (1 and a half hour) for the round trip to the glacier across the steppe, having the opportunity to watch a wide variety of Patagonian birds.

In the afternoon, we visit the west end of the Park, the lake Grey area. An easy and beautiful walk along its south shore, lead us to a rocky promontory from where we see the glacier calving down in the lake from the Ice Field in the far side of the lake. In the spring and summer the shore is covered by the icebergs pushed by the wind to this side of the lake.
